does your search software allow one to obtain stocks reaching a 104 or 156 week new high or perhaps a new all time high? I can only get new 52 wk highs with prosearch and am looking to change

You can write a simple formula that will find stocks hitting a new high for any time period. For instance:

H = MAXH500
This will find stocks hitting that 104 week (2 year) high you mentioned.

H = MAXH750
This will find stocks hitting a 156 week (3 year) high.

H = MAXH2500
This will find stocks hitting a ten year high.

H = MAXH62
This will find stocks hitting a 3 month high.

Now you should see how this works. The number is the number of days, with 250 trading days in a year.

I don't believe it's possible to find stocks reaching an all time new high in TeleChart. First, for those stocks trading publicly for the first time during the time frame of our database (roughly 16 years), they will have differing lengths of trading history. Our formulas require specifying a time period. And since our database only goes back 16 years or so for most stocks, we would have no way to know if a stock is hitting an all time high.

Having said that, I believe that some variation of the simple formulas I gave above will likely help you find most of what you need.

Ok Doug, So would I be able to do a search at the end of a weekday for all ote, amex and nyse stocks who made a new 500 day high right? How about otc-bb stocks?

His formulas, if added to an EasyScan, would return the common stocks on the NYSE, NASDAQ and AMEX with new 500 and 62 trading day highs, depending which you used.

The database includes common stocks trading on NYSE, AMEX, and NASDAQ. No otc's or bb's.
