For year to date performance LCC was
number 171 of the 6963 stocks in the
all stocks watchlist.
(the stock also has reasonably good fundamentals)

Major Airlines and Regional Airlines were
#2 and #4 in the Hemscott industry groups.

Energy, Oil, Gas were #226, 227, 234, and 238
of the 239 industry groups.

Add to that the topping of the energy cycle
(about 13 days ago) discussed here:

While it is always possible for anything to
fall. (particularly if the market gets ugly).

There is not a lot of evidence in stock , energy ,
or airline group performance. (yet)

Thanks

In the first rew days this week, if NDX100 closes a small number of points below Fri. close (weekly chart), it will be officially bearish and the initial target will be 100-120 points down. Yes, I know about the 50 day line and isn't it always foolish to make predictions on the market?

LCC (NYSE) - If you accept that NDX led the rally from July (I do), then the other averages should follow NDX. Since 70-80% of returns are determined by the overall averages and if the above paragraph is realized, then a LCC short should be successful for you. However, if the case holds, you could pick a stock to short by throwing a dart at the newspaper listings with the same probability of success.

My observation of LCC on daily chart does not indicate a buy or sell. For me, I would wait for a confirmation in either case.

Just for info, symbols QID (short on QQQQ) and DXD (short on DOW 30) are available and trade just like a stock, but are very volatile and higher priced issues.
