Thanks for your question, youngman! I will put a short video together to demonstrate how to find the candlestick formation you're asking about. Look for it to be posted sometime within the next 24 hours!

Hello again, youngman. The video on scanning to find doji formations followed by a gap up or a gap down on a candlestick chart is ready. Here is a link to the video:

http://www.worden.com/training/default.aspx?g=posts&t=148

There are three Personal Criteria Formulas explained in the video. For your reference in adding them to your TeleChart program, they are as follows:

Open vs. Close Yesterday O1 / C1
(You use this to find the actual doji formation yesterday)

High vs. Low Yesterday H1 / L1
(This is an optional criteria used to ensure that the Doji has a shadow, forming the familiar cross pattern)

Body as a % of Close ABS(C-O) / (H-L) * 100
(This is an alternative formula to ensure that the Doji has a shadow. For a Doji yesterday, be sure to add a "1" after each variable...(O, H, L, C).

I hope this answers your question, youngman. Please let us know if you have additional questions. And thanks for your interest in TeleChart and the Worden Research Customer Training Forum!
