If no additional Average Period is suggested, I suspect you will want to use the following settings:

Select Chart Template | Add Indicator | Wilder's RSI.
- RSI Period: 9
- Use Wilders Smoothing: Checked
- Avg Period: 1
- Average Type: Doesn't matter

You may wish to review the following section of the Online Help Files for an answer to your first question:

Wilder's RSI

Wilder's RSI comes with 30 and 70 lines. You could add 20 and 80 lines by adding a Stochastics Indicator and unchecking Visible (and a 50 line by doing the same with TSV).

Heya Bruce (or anyone else),
How can I make the RSI's 70 & 30 lines to a different color (from standard grey)? I've seen them in white before but cannot find out how to change them...

Did I bump my head?

You cannot change their color. Under TOOLS|CHART DISPLAY OPTIONS you can change their brightness.
