I am familiar with candles, but what is new to me is that some of the bars are filled in and some are just outlined. Other charts I've seen, they are all solid. What is the difference between the solid vs. hollow candles in TeleChart?

If the candle is "hollow" or is filled with the background color it means:

The close is above the open

If the candle is "solid" or is filled with the candle color it means:

The open is above the close
