can someone tell me how to write a pcf that would give the avg. volume of a stock. i tried avgv>10000 but it only pulls up stocks that have over a 1.000.000 shares that day. i want the average volume, it gave me a stock (BUCY) that had over a 1.000.000 today but the average volume is about 250.000. is there a way to write a scan for actual average volume not just what it did today? thanks

AVGV10 is average volume for 10 days.

AVGV20 is average volume for 20 days.

Just change the number to what length you
want.

Hope that helps

Good Luck

Also, remember that volume is given in 100s in Telechart. If you are writing a boolean expression such as the one above, you would need AVGV10>100, or AVGV20>100, AVGV50>100, etc., to get the average volume greater than 10,000. You also might try to setting your volume a good deal higher than that--10,000 is pretty low. 100,000 would be written 1000.

Wow, still on the 30 day test but am so impressed by the responses here. It really seems like a helpfull community. (and this is Sunday night!). So far the media group scans have helped me a great deal. Definetly sighing up for at LEAST gold.

After reading your post again, I see there was no misunderstanding about volume being given in 100s. You had it right. 10000 would be 1,000,000. Next time, I'll read more carefully before jumping in and answering. Craig, you can probably delete my post, and I'm sorry if I added any confusion to the subject.
