Topic: Wilder's 5 period RSI x days ago

Oh, got it. When you posted that I probably wanted the longer version I thought you were refering to some other formula. Thank you very much for the help and also for the formula for 4 days ago. I may need that some day also.

Thank you again and have a good day, Joe

OK. Where would I find those then? Several years ago you had also provided me with the PCF forumlas for scans for  what I thought was 5 period Wilder's RSI for today, one day, two days and three days ago. Those look to be very similar to what you show above. Are they not the correct formulas then for J. Welles Wilder's RSI?

Bruce,

Just a normal J. Welles Wilder RSI as found in most charting pachages such as esignal, but set at 5 period. If I'm not mistaking, it looks like the formulas you provided above should work.

I do appreciate your help on this.

Thank you, Joe

Bruce,

Thank you. I guess I didn't clarify that I was needing this formula for a PCF to use in a scan, not as an indicator.

Thank you,

Joe

Greetings,

I'm not sure if I had posted this in the correct section so I'm posting here also.

I am needing the PCF formulas for Wilder's RSI 5 period for 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 days ago. I did a search of previous posts and could not find these. Your help is greatly valued and appreciated.

Thank you, Joe

Thanks Bruce. I was needing the formulas to use for PCFs in the earlier version - 2007. I've just downloaded the new version but I'm still working on getting familiar with it, so I mainly still use the old version. In fact I'm not even finding how to insert indicator functions into PCFs with the new version. With the old version they were all right there.
At any  rate, will the formulas you provided work in PCFs or are they for chart indicators?

Thanks,
Joe
