Is there a way to write a code that will give me Ichimoku Clouds in Stockfinder 5?  I would like to be able to sort a watchlist by price above the Cloud indicators.

Is there a way  to get an audible alert when either a price or an indicator reaches a certain value?  The best situation would be to get an alert when a condition is met.

What is the purpose of, and how do you use the ellipse tool in Stockfinder 5?
Topic: Condition for donchian channels
Posted: Monday, July 26, 2010 12:51:07 PM
I would like to create a condition that I can either sort or filter by where stockfinder notifies me if price is breaking above the upper donchian channel or below the lower donchian channel.  I successfully wrote the up condition, selecting "donchian channel below price histroy". When I select "show true markers" it marks the moves above the upper channel, so I assume the sort will do the same.  However, when I go the other way, "donchian channel above price history", it gives me signals when the price is below the UPPER donchian channel, which isn't of much use.  I want it signal when price breaks below the LOWER channel.  Is this a glitch, or did I do something wrong?
Topic: Watchlist filter
Posted: Thursday, July 22, 2010 3:19:06 PM
I'm new wth Stockfinder, and I wrote a filter for my watchlist.  The watchlist is S&P500 and I want to filter it for stocks that are Xing the Momentum (period 10) 100 line.  I wrote one filter for Xing up and another for Xing down.  I'm on a 15 min chart, So I wrote the filter for 15 min charts, updating every 5 min, because I only want to see stocks that have cross up (or Down) on the last bar.  I have it set for passing 1 of last 1 bar, with an update frequency of 1 min.  But I am getting stocks that have passed the 100 line 4 to 10 bars ago.  Have I done something wrong?  How can I get it to just show me stocks that have passed the mark on the last bar?  Thank you.

In the Worden report dated 10/5/06 there was a reader submission with an easyscan and a chart setup. I have been playing with it, and it looks quite promising, but I would like clarification on the custom indicator. I have written some pcf's, but have not encountered xavg. The formula is xavgc3/avgc7. What is the significance of xavg?
Topic: TSV divergence

I have a question regarding how to interperet TSV divergence. I'm looking at a daily chart of VSEC, contemplating a short position. I'm looking at a TSV20. In the short term, TSV is following price. I'm a swing trader. My question is, if I go back to March 1st, the TSV low would indicate a positive TSV divergence. Is that more significant than the recent TSV action for a short-term trade?
Topic: ADX

I've been using the new ADX with +DI & -DI crossovers successfully for short term trades. I was hoping to be able to write a pcf to screen for ADX crossovers. My question is: Is that possible? And what is the the syntax for using ADX, +DI and -DI in writing a pcf?

Thank you.
