Topic: Scan Help
Posted: Thursday, October 9, 2008 11:50:48 PM

I'd like to create this watchlist condition scan in Blocks.  The scan would identify individual stocks whose Negative Volume Index and Positive Volume Index BOTH rose today.  Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Topic: Blocks Needs A Bull and Bear Balance Indicator
Posted: Sunday, September 28, 2008 3:03:34 AM
In the October 2003 issue of "Stocks & Commodities" magazine" the code for Vadim Gimelfarb's Bull and Bear Balance Indicator was provided.   Here's the link: http://www.traders.com/documentation/feedbk_docs/archive/102003/TradersTips/TradersTips.html#meta

Could you please create this indicator for Blocks.  Thanking you in advance.

Dear Craig,

Regarding your Blocks Trader 3.0 video and layout entitled "Using RealCode To Paint Price With Volume," it struck me that the same could be done with money flow, whereby price bars are painted different colours based on above or below-average money flow over a specific number of days (i.e. 100, like in your video).  Could you please write the code for this using Colin Twigg's money flow indicator?

For some reason, the Twiggs indicator is included in my Blocks Trader 2.0, but not in Blocks Trader 3.0.  Could you please include this indicator in Blocks Trader 3.0.

Thanking you in advance for your assistance regarding the above.

Topic: One-Week MoneyStream Surge -- Need This As An Indicator

Is it possible to convert the one-week MoneyStream Surge formula from a PCF into a Telechart or Blocks indicator?  I've been trading AAPL and noting the decline in One-Week MoneyStream Surge, for several days now.  As an example, this past Thursday, its reading for AAPL was -10.33 and on Friday it was -40.36.

This presently requires that I note the one-week MoneyStream Surge readings, for individual stocks, before I update Telechart EOD for the day--which is very inconvenient.  If I could have this information on
a chart, with the past days readings, it would be most helpful.  In Blocks, for example the rate-of-change of this reading, day-by-day, could be added to a watchlist column, for potentially thousands of stocks.

Thanking you in advance for any assistance.

Bruce,

Thank you for your assistance and prompt to my request.

I also require a percentage above/ percentage below 50 simple moving average indicator.  I would use this indicator for individual stocks, but would also add it to a watchlist column.  For example, as of Monday's close, SBUX was -10.33% (below its 50 SMA), as per this indicator

A welcome addition to Blocks, in my view, would be a bull and bear power indicator, such as the one by Vadim Gimelfarb, featured in the October 2003 eddition of Stocks and Commodities magazine.

Again, thank you for your assistance, and best holiday wishes.

I require the following scans pertaining to the Negative Volume Index and Positive Volume Index:

1) The NVI is greater today than yesterday.

2) The PVI is greater today than yesterday.

3) The NVI crossed above its 255-day exponential moving average for the first time in six months.

4) The PVI crossed above its 255-day exponential moving average for the first time in six months.

5) The NVI crossed above its 255-day exponential
moving average for the first time in one year. (CSCO is a recent example of this.)

6) The PVI crossed above its 255-day exponential moving average for the first time in one year.

Thanking you in advance for your assistance.

Topic: Scan For Blocks: Money Flow Index is at or below period 20

Money Flow. I've noted that stocks often bounce back when the Money Flow Index (MFI) is at 20 or below. I would like this as a Blocks scan. Thanks in advance.
