Topic: Running Scans For Days Other Than Today
Posted: Sunday, August 5, 2007 1:20:01 PM
This might be a really naive question, but in TC2007 can I run a scan for a date back in history to see what stocks it would have returned on that date?

I'd like to compare how many stocks meet an Easyscan criteria today with how many would have met that same scan on a selected day in history.

If this can be done, are there some indicators that might not work that I should know about?
Topic: 2nd Request: Missing Symbols From Funds Database - Please help

This was posted on 7/24 and was never answered:

I just subscribed to the Funds program and the following mutual fund symbols show up as symbol not found. To my knowledge they are all legitimate symbols. Can you please check why they are not in the database?

Thanks!

Makotool

Symbols:
AREEX, GLSAX, GIIAX, GMRAX, TCRAX, RRGSX, INISX, FGBAX, GBIAX, TWUSX, MCAFX

Bingo, there was a conflict. It worked as soon as I changed the Hot Key.

Thanks!

Yes, Craig, the tool shows up in my system tray and I can use my mousewheel to zoom in and out. What does the draw tool look like on screen? My mouse does not change appearance or draw when I hit CTRL+2 which is the hot key currently set up in the hot key dialog box.

Hi Craig,

I know you aren't affiliated with ZoomIt but I have a simple question. How do I make the program draw?

The installation instructions say type Ctrl + 2 to enter drawing mode but when I do and left click to draw, nothing happens.

Any tips or ways to contact ZoomIt for help?

Thanks,

Makotool
Topic: Different Chart Types in Each Indicator Tab?
Posted: Sunday, July 22, 2007 10:53:10 AM
Is it possible in Telecharts to have different price chart types on each indicator tab? (e.g. Tab 1 has a bar chart and Tab 2 has a candlestick chart)?

When I set a chart to a different price type and move to another tab, it gets reset when I go back to it. Can I make the change permanent?
Topic: 2nd Request: Plotting External Data
Posted: Wednesday, July 18, 2007 4:28:30 PM
I didn't receive a reply to my question from yesterday, so I am respectfully resubmitting it:

The funds in my 401K plan are "privately traded" according to my account rep and, as such, they don't have ticker symbols even though they have familiar names like Janus Worldwide, etc. So I'm assuming I cannot track them by subscribing to Telecharts mutual funds data feed.

How can I track these in Blocks or Telecharts? From the 401k company's website (Nationwide), I can get the daily closing price for each fund. Can I build a database with dates, funds, and closing prices and then upload them into either Blocks or Telecharts?

What do others do in this situation?

Thanks.

Topic: Changing Default Settings For Bar Charts
Posted: Sunday, July 8, 2007 11:17:44 PM
I've created a bar chart with a bunch of custom settings. I'd like to have all new charts appear with those settings. Is there a way to tell Blocks to use a new default group of settings every time it opens a new bar chart?
