I would be grateful if you would show me how to set up a scan on Telechart to scan "All Stocks" for the following criteria:
- Latest Quarterly Earnings Per Share (EPS) up 25% on same quarter last year,
- Last four quarterly EPS up on their corresponding quarters in the previous year,
- Annual Sales growth up 25% on previous year,
- Annual pre-tax profit this year, greater than previous year,
- Return on Equity (ROE) greater than 17%,
- Relative Strength (price) of stock vs SP-500 greater than 80%,
- Institutional ownership > 25%,
- Insider ownership >1.5%
If an exact scan cannot be set up, please advise on the closest that can be achieved?

Best Regards, K

All except two of your conditions are available in TeleChart. The two that are not are:

Annual pre-tax profit
Return on Equity

The quarterly earnings conditions you'll find listed as EPS Percent Change for various quarters (latest quarter, 1 quarter back, etc.)

If you don't know how to build your conditions into a scan, please take a fewe minutes to watch the following video:

Using EasyScan to find stocks that meet your own criteria

Doug,

I understand that using Telechart, I am unable to scan directly for the condition: "latest quarterly EPS up 25% on same quarter last year". However, I can scan for stocks, that are in the top quartile(75% to max) for this condition, and hopefully, achieve the same result. Similarly for the other conditions described in my opening question.

Is my understanding correct?

Many thanks for your help.

No, you can use VALUE on EPS PERCENT CHANGE LATEST QUARTER.

Watch the EasyScan video Doug linked above to learn how to use VALUE or MARKET RANK or LIST RANK. In this instance, you want VALUES of 25 to MAX.
