I believe he did, but not sure. He is away from the boards for a bit today, but I'm sure he'll post back to you as soon as he can.
I suspect he'll reply under your original post, rather than in this thread.

You sent me three different items. The first appears to be for a stock breaking out of a 1-month base.
Here is how I would do it:
Create these PCFs:
Trend/Consolidate 1-month:
(MAXH21-MINL21)/(AVGH21-AVGL21)*100
Below 50 and 200
C<AVGC50 AND C<AVGC200
Price Change from 1-month high
(C-MAXH21)/MAXH21*100
Percent Change from highs to lows 1-month
(MINL21-MAXH21)/MAXH21*100
High as % of 1-month high
H/MAXH21*100
Once you have these PCFs created (watch the video below if you are not familiar with how you should make them) move to the next step of creating an EasyScan: How to create a Personal Criteria Forumula (PCF)
Create a new EasyScan with the following conditions and limits:
Trend/Consolidate 1-month: MARKET RANK MIN to 30 Below 50 and 200: no limits needed Price Change from 1-month high: VALUE -40 to MAX Percent Change from highs to lows 1-month: VALUE -20 to MAX High as % of 1-month high: VALUE 100 to MAX Volume 90-day: VALUE 20000 to MAX
This should cover the 6 conditions you gave me. Create the PCFs and the EasyScan. All of the stocks should fit your conditions. Let me know. Once we get this how you like it, I will move to the next one.

Hi Craig, I have created the PDFs and the easyscan. In creating the easyscan --I could not get the Value column to register the settings that you have below. I am faxing you a image of my screen so you can see what I mean.
Price Change from 1-month high: VALUE -40 to MAX Percent Change from highs to lows 1-month: VALUE -20 to MAX High as % of 1-month high: VALUE 100 to MAX
Please let me know what I need to do to get the VALUE column to show these settings. Thanks.

What is the VALUE range you see on the left side of the RANGE selector?
You will likely not get exactly -40 or -20 or 100 but you will want to take the values closest to them. They are guidelines.
Have you seen this video yet?
Using EasyScan to find stocks that meet your own criteria
I want to be sure you are using the range selector correctly.

Something is not correct in your PCFs
Delete them, watch the video below and then create them again. See if that solves the issue....
How to create a Personal Criteria Forumula (PCF)
BTW, I realize that you may be more comfortable using the fax machine but I need to confine our discussion to the boards from here on. Please post any further responses here, don't send them via a fax.

I have my PCFs in an easyscan -- when I choose the PCF to edit and then go to "Edit Condition" I have selected "VALUE" (not List Rank or Market Rank). This time I AM able to get a VALUE range, BUT I cannot seem to get it in the (-) negative range. How do I do it?
I watched the video and feel I am doing everything right, creating the PCF but when I get to putting it in as an easyscan I am not able to get the settings that you are suggesting.

I just reviewed my post and realized I had two errors in the following PCFs:
Price Change from 1-month high
(C-MAXH21)/MAXH21*100
Percent Change from highs to lows 1-month
(MINL21-MAXH21)/MAXH21*100
Above are the corrected versions. Edit and fix the PCFs in your system and you should now be able to get the negative numbers required.

Now I am really frustrated. I CANNOT get to the - (negative) VALUES and now on the left I have all ZEROS. Please look this over again ... I know I am writing these correctly.

I tested both and they work.
Did you recalculate them after making the corrections?

I was able to get them to calculate but the returning chart results were not what I am looking for. I really want to get William O'Neals CANSlim Pivots as charts. Are you familiar with this? It is strong relative strengh coming through trendline resistence going towards a new high (a pivot). All the charts here are well below their new high and NOT at trendline resistence. I am assuming that the resulting 30 stocks that sorted will only be sorted further when we add the other PCFs that we have not yet created.

So much of what you say above seems to conflict with some of the points from your fax.
I want to start fresh...
Create the following PCFs for me:
Price Move 1-month
AVGC10/AVGC10.10*100
Price High 1-month range
(H-MINL21)/(MAXH21-MINL21)*100
Price above 50 and 200 C>AVGC50 AND C>AVGC200
Now create a new EasyScan
Add these built-in conditions: Price per share (limit based on your price requirements) Volume 90-day (limit based on your volume requirements) Price 1-yr Range (VALUE 75 to MAX)
Add these PCFs and limit
Price Move 1-month (VALUE 100 to MAX) Price High 1-month range (VALUE 50 to MAX) Price above 50 and 200 (no limits needed)
Take a look at the results. You can sort by either Price 1-yr range or Price High 1-month range in descending order if you like.
Keep in mind, we are not scanning to find the 3 or 4 stocks in all of the market that meet your conditions. We can't as trendlines and resistance are drawn based on judgement calls made by the user (you) which cannot be measured or programmed in the PCF language.
What I am hoping to do here is GREATLY reduce the number of stocks you need to spacebar through to find the ones you like. There will be several stocks that show up in the resulting WatchList from this scan. If you don't like the stock, don't fret, just press the spacebar and look at the next one. I hope there are 1 or 2 that DO show up via this scan in the next few weeks that you end up liking.
Does that make sense?

I don't recall seeing it on these boards but you are welcome to search them:
Learn how to use the forums: post a new topic, reply, Search existing topics
Did what I say in the last few paragraphs above make sense?
Try my revised idea above. I have a feeling the results will be closer to what you are looking for.
Regardless, any attempt we make will be within the confines of reducing the list, you, your eyes and your spacebar will ALWAYS be the final search condition.

VERY cool... glad to hear it.
Was it based on what we were working on here or did you search the boards and find a gem?
