I have a Platinum account. But with a particular chart, I do not want my calculations to be affected with real time data feed. How can I set a chart to be End Of Day only mode so that during the trading hours, my calculations on that chart stay as at the previous day's close?

It is not generally possible to temporarily disable the realtime data.

Depending on the calculations, it may be possible to write them in such a way that it ignores the most recent bar until it actually finishes forming.

I'll start by saying I was wrong. I re-tested it this morning after the market opened.

You can make the Daily data not stream by adding a 1 Day Not Streaming Bar Interval and choosing it as the active Bar Interval for the chart (when I tested yesterday, I added it, but didn't select it as the active Bar Interval).

- Select Edit where you would change the Bar Interval for the chart.
- Select Add.
- Choose 1 Day.
- Check Do not use streaming data.
- Select OK.
- Change the Bar Interval for the chart to 1 Day Not Streaming.

By the way, I have a simple question. When I tried to save any chart in the system, I always get a system null pointer exception. But saving layout works fine. Is this a known bug? How can I avoid it? The chart I have is very simple. Just price and a moving average. Nothing else.

I cannot reproduce this. I do not recall ever getting a system null pointer exception when attempting to save a chart in StockFinder. You may want to try contacting technical support to see if they can resolve the issue.

All e-mail communication sent to support@worden.com during business hours (Monday through Friday 9AM-11PM and Saturday and Sunday 9AM-3PM ET) should be answered within 20 minutes of arrival.

For an even quicker response to tech support questions, we recommend calling our voice line at (919) 408-0542 (there is no phone support on Sundays, some Market Holidays or after 9PM ET on weekdays).

You can also contact us using Live Chat Support during business hours.
