Hi there,

I wonder if you can help me with the following. Is there a way to create a watchlist  that simply includes flag patterns? I presume it's a question of creating a PCF that results in a pole, small consolidating period and an advance upwards? If you could also let me know how to reverse the formula for down-trends, that would be great.

Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forums. A very good foundation for learning how to use TeleChart can be gained by reviewing the following:

If you are new to TeleChart READ THIS FIRST!

You may wish to review the following for information on pattern recognition in TeleChart (the last topic in this section is probably both the most in-depth and on target):

Falling wedge
Cup with a handle formation
PCF for cup with a handle
Scanning for Chart Patterns
Scanning for Stocks Printing a Double or Triple Bottom
PCFs for pennants and flags
PCF's for Triangles
Does TeleChart support Elliott Wave indicators?
Double top/bottom trend
Finding Double Tops and Double Bottoms
CUP AND HANDLE AGAIN
Finding Continuation Triangles And Wedges With Telechart

That said, I personally do not think there is a practical way to do this using EasyScans and TeleChart's Personal Criteria Formula Language. This is true of pattern recognition in general with the exception of fixed size candlestick patterns:

Boolean PCFs for Candlestick Patterns

I've been trying to clean up my charts as I've got tons of trendlines that are no longer relevant. Is there a way to erase all trendlines in the system without having to erase each line from each individual chart? Thanks for the help.

dgott,
The TeleChart interface will allow you to erase all of the Trendlines from a Chart at once by selecting Tools | Drawing Tools | Erase All.

Sorry for posting in the wrong area. The erase all feature gets rid of the lines for that particular symbol. Is there a way to erase all lines for all symbols without going through each individual chart? Thanks again.

dgott,
If you are comfortable with computers, you could delete the contents of the \Program Files\TeleChart\User\Data\Trendlines\ folder.

Very nice. Thanks for the tip. I had over 1300 trendlines and wasn't looking forward to the cleanup process. Thank you!
