Hi
I have used telechart for technical analysis for a long time, but had some questions about getting fundimental data in it. What I would like to do is follow a watchlist of stocks, and create a watchlist layout where I have columns listing the following:
for year 2007, actual fiscal year earnings and p/e ratio.
For 2008-2010,
projected price to earnings ratio,
projected earnings
and projected p/e to growth ratio.
Is there a way to create columns listing this data?
Will I need custom PCF's?
Thank you very much for your assistance.
Best Regards,
Brian Bernstein

TeleChart's Personal Criteria Formula Language does not have syntax for referencing other symbols or Fundamentals. This means fundamentals are limited to the current values of the built in Fundamental System Criteria.

Definitions of all built in scanning and sorting criteria

Of your requested fundamentals, the following are available:

Earnings ($Millions) 1-Yr - This is the sum of the trailing 4 quarters of net income (profit) as taken from the quarterly report. This is not the earnings per share. This value will also provide some insight into company size. It reads in millions of dollars.

P/E Ratio - The price per share divided by the trailing 12 month's earnings per share. Companies with negative earnings are designated N/A. This well known criterion is a quick and dirty way of evaluating whether a stock is richly priced or reasonably priced. The P/E ratio must, however, always be evaluated in conjunction with growth rate. A high growth rate deserves a high P/E. Generally a low P/E would merit a long position.

It is possible to create Columns for those Criteria:

Customize the Information Displayed in the WatchList

It should be noted that the combination of Morningstar Historical Fundamentals & Company Stats and Zacks Earnings Estimates & Analyst Ratings (check the link for a list of data available) powered by Blocks would provides historical values for Fundamentals as well as projections and gives you the ability to calculate your own fundamentals based on calculations done on the fundamentals within these two feeds.

Thank you for your response, I do not have much experience with blocks, how would I go about acheiving the same thing in that program?
