My Telechart has an easyscan for stocks rallying from a short term bottom. I'd like to do one for stocks dropping from a short term top. I would then use this with a scan and charts for ten day MA crossing down through 30 Day MA on a Weekly chart.
Would appreciate some help with this.
Cheers,
NC

Are you 10 and 30-day MAs simple or exponential?

NCStockGuy,
Let's start with the Personal Criteria Formula:

10-Week SMA xDown 30-Week SMA:

2 * (C + C5 + C10 + C15 + C20 + C25 + C30 + C35 + C40 + C45) < (C50 + C55 + C60 + C65 + C70 + C75 + C80 + C85 + C90 + C95 + C100 + C105 + C110 + C115 + C120 + C125 + C130 + C135 + C140 + C145) AND 2 * (C5 + C10 + C15 + C20 + C25 + C30 + C35 + C40 + C45 + C50) >= (C55 + C60 + C65 + C70 + C75 + C80 + C85 + C90 + C95 + C100 + C105 + C110 + C115 + C120 + C125 + C130 + C135 + C140 + C145 + C150)

Now let's look at the EasyScan you wish to modify:

Rallying from a Short-term Bottom:
- Watchlist: All Items in System
- Capitalization: Value: 63 to Max
- Price Growth Rate 1-Year: List Rank: 1 to 20
- Price Growth Rate 2-Year: List Rank: 1 to 20
- Price Per Share: Value: 0.69 to Max
- Price Percent Change 5-Day: List Rank: 50 to 99
- Volume (Dollars) 90-Day: List Rank: 50 to 99
- Price Percent Change 1 Month: List Rank: 50 to 99

Based on your requested requirements, we'll probably want to change the Watchlist to scan from All Items in System to All Stocks.
Capitalization, Price Per Share and Volume (Dollars) 90-Day appear to be a "My Universe" type conditions and should probably be left alone.
Price Groth Rate 1-Year and 2-Year appear to be identifying a long term downtrend and probably need to be reversed.
Price Percent Change 5-Day and Price Percent Change 1 Month appear to be designed to find a recent rally and need to be reversed.

stocks dropping from a short term top:
- Watchlist: All Stocks
- Capitalization: Value: 63 to Max
- Price Growth Rate 1-Year: List Rank: 80 to 99
- Price Growth Rate 2-Year: List Rank: 80 to 99
- Price Per Share: Value: 0.69 to Max
- Price Percent Change 5-Day: List Rank: 1 to 49
- Volume (Dollars) 90-Day: List Rank: 50 to 99
- Price Percent Change 1 Month: List Rank: 1 to 49

Thanks Bruce, that's what I needed. Works just fine. I am building a new watchlist from this scan.
