Any time cammer talks about a company it goes way up.I have try too get them in afterhours before anybody else but could never beat everyone too the punch.Cammer has talk about JDSU and other.I do like too get some of these in this group.ITs a hot group.BAHM and FNSR is in the group too.I'm try too see if AT&T useing these companys. If AT&T are buying from these company and if they buy Bellsouth.I this after too fine the company that AT&T deal go though. Then I think them company will too good.I never have bought shares the next day after Cammer talks about it.I have bought some after they game down.I would read what Worden have said on this company..

avnx is ok, i read that they bought ciena's fiber unit....i like afop...mrvc...scmr....afop has a clean balance sheet...mrvc is one of cramers pics i like it because of the european exposure...i read in forbes that most telecom companies are going to lay fiber... some directly to houses most will probably lay to a middle of a neighborhood and connect houses through other sources...i have positions in the last 3 as a disclaimer and IBM...and as i regret orcl since last september and now its back at where i bought it...im up nice on the others though....i dont usually play lower stocks but these are moving and have hot prospects...happy hunting

I like the stock. I want to buy it but it looks sooooo overbought I just can't pull the trigger yet. On the first pullback tho........

I am strictly a novice when it comes to Elliot Waves, but it looks to me like AVNX is about to finish the third wave and is ready to bsgin a pull back on the fourth wave. It looks like it especially on the weekly chart. Correct me if I'm wrong.
If it is in an Elliot Wave, what could we wxpect the fourth wave to pull back to and where might the fifth wave end up?

This stock has exceeded all elliot expectations for a wave 3. Stocks with large spikes in price give false elliot readings. On a weekly chart it DOES look like this is a wave 3, but personally, I believe it is a wave one. The reason for this is simple. Spikes normally require a correction. What seems to be a wave 2 correction is not really a wave at all because it was done so quickly. It was just normal speculative profit taking from a huge jump.
Now if it is a wave 1, the stock can make it to the 4.10-4.54 range before correction The wave 2 correction could bring it back down to .90- 2.00 and still be within guidelines for a downward wave 2. Chances are it won't get anywhere near the .90 area, but it is possible.

AVNX is up in pre-market hours. Do think the stock will continue to move ahead or would this be a good time to take profits?

Chabot, you must get into a position where you don't second guess your judgement.
If you hold the stock and it drops like a rock you are going to get mad at yourself. If you sell and the stock goes up you will also get mad at yourself.
To me, the only solution for good mental health is to hedge your bet by selling half or 1/4 of your position now. By using a stragegy like this you have the best of both worlds with little mental anguish.

I am newbie to both waves and patterns and I am still playing on paper. I wish I had had AVNX for real, though.
I bought it (paper) at 1.70 on 93/01/06 when it cleared a narrow up slopeing channel which was about a month long.
I think I'll take havenocents suggestion and get ready to take profit. I'll set a stop at 95 percent of today's low and move it up until it is broken.
Then I'll wait until it pulls back from 32 to 62 percent and think about buying again.
I will appreciate your comments.

My original wave count began in early December and wavw 1 lasted until late December. Wave 2 be4gan then and lasted until late February when wave 3 began.
Irrespective of whether it is the end of my wave 3 or we are in havenocents wave 1, this is a good place to take profit.

When its your real money it is very diffent.my rules is if I drop 7% I well sell.I try too let my charts too say when too get out but I do make lots of mistake on that one.lets say I have make mistakes on all my rules and I pay for it, must of the time.I'm geting much better at my rules.I put not more then 8% and one stock if I see one or two hot groups like too pick out 3 stocks in that area.I go though my charts an pick them out.THE BEST WHY I MAKE MONEY IS LISTEN TOO WORDENS PICKS HAVE MADE ME GOOD MONEY on them. The more I learn the better I get trading ....But things do chage when you use your own money. I remerber most the stocks I have sold too early.the last one was AFOP .sold that one for a little gain.this because I did not like the sales coming though was real slow so I sold it .the next two days when up real good and sales was going real fast lol.
