I have made many attempts to import EXCEL stock info to a watchlist and have failed miserably.I am able to create a TEXT document in either Wordpad or Notepad with no difficulty and saved the file in My DOCUMENT file prior to importing to the new watchlist. The Import choices available in the ADD column for the new Watchlist do not give me a MY DOCUMENT choice to import the file. So I have been shimmying ,shaking and jumping up and down and getting nowhere.
Your help would be appreciated.

Your MY DOCUMENTS folder is located on your C: drive (usually within the USER folder).
You may have to search to find it.
What folder does open when you search? It may be easier to just save the file there.

I have been trying to import all morning with no headway. I have my list stored in desktop. The desktop has a file of 50 stocks. Creating a new watchlist and attempting to import results in the data flashing in the watchlist and then disappearing. Of the total 50 stock list I am sometimes rewarded with a total of just three issues.

Are all of the stocks in TeleChart at all (can you jump to them)?
You cannot import symbols that are not already in the system.

I checked the first ten stock issues appearing in my listing out of fifty and all that were checked where in the system.

Import excel: I am unable to import a watch list from excel.
The problem seems to be I cannot copy symbols alone to copy and paste. All of the spreadsheet seems to be attached and TC200 will not recoginize all attachment.

cats4,
TeleChart will not import directly from a spreadsheet. You need to open the spreadsheet (as a spreadsheet) and highlight just the symbols (possibly by highlighting a single column) and then paste them into a text file and save it.
Once you have it saved as a text file, you should be able to import it, but if you can't, the most common problem in importing a list to TeleChart is extra characters in the text file that cause our program to miss some or all of the symbols. For example, saving a list in Excel can leave invisible Tab markers that prevent anything from being imported.
To prepare a text file to be imported:
1. Highlight the column of symbols
2. On the program's menu bar, click Edit and select Copy
3. Click the Windows Start button and select Run
4. Type notepad and click OK
5. On Notepad's menu bar, click Edit and select Paste
6. Click File and select Save
You can save the file anywhere but it is best to put it in C:\Program Files\TeleChart. If you choose a different location, be sure to remember where you save the file so you can find it when using TeleChart's import feature.
Note: It is best to make the list of symbols a single column.
To create a new WatchList from a list of symbols generated outside TeleChart:
1. Click TeleChart’s New button and select New WatchList
2. Name the WatchList, select Import from a File and click OK
3. In the Import Symbols From List window, navigate to and select the text file
4. Click Import
Note: If a symbol in the list is not already in the TeleChart database, the import utility will simply skip the symbol.
Other Options:
TeleChart also accepts lists imported from Metastock, TC2000 Version 3, and Watchlists already present in TeleChart.
