Is is possible to sort real time using two criteria?

1. I would like to find the stocks that are up the greatest percentage and have the the greatest volume using real time.

2. Same as #1 except I would like the greatest point gainers.

The purpose of this PCF is to find those stocks that have the highest potential for day trading.

Thanks for your help.

Personal Criteria Formulas are not Real Time, so you would need to create a Custom Indicator based on how you wanted to weight or order the sorts. For example, you could create a formula based on Price Percent Change times Volume or you could sort by Price Percent Change and then Volume Surge (there are a lot of different ways this could be done). In any case, RT sorts are limited to 200 symbols.

Keep in mind you can sort by the following conditions already in your system (in RT)

Percent Change RT

Volume RT

When you bring up the sort by and click on the Real Time category.

Here are some formulas to play with. Plot them as Custom Indicators on a DAILY chart and sort by their ACTUAL VALUE:

(C-C1)/C1*(V/AVGV50)

(C-C1)/C1*V

Here is the net change formula to plot the same way:

C-C1

Thanks for the Customer Indicator sort approach and formulas.

But...

Can you suggest a use for the "sort by Volume RT" ability?
It seems to me this is a wasted sort by variable that should be replaced with Volume Surge RT value or somehow take average volume into account. What is the value in sorting by "Volume RT"? I suppose this really belongs in suggestions....

I had the same question - so adding to this thread, thanks.

R.
