on the stock position. The TSV line and the Rate of Change literally flip from top to bottom when I am scrolling in or out of a stock.

This occurs with all of the positions I review. I am reviewing ARCP. The Rate of change is above the TSV when I am looking at a date range of 11/14 to the present date, but it drops below the TSV line when I scroll in to a date range of late Dec/14 to the present.

Am I supposed to use a specific date range to make sure I am reading this correctly?

Thanks

The scale of Rate of Change and Time Segmented Volume are different. The relative positions and crossovers of the Rate of Change and Time Segmented Volume are meaningless as a result (in the mathematical sense).

The only way to legitimately make the scale of Rate of Change and Time Segmented Volume the same in the mathematical sense is if you change the Data Source of the Rate of Change indicator to be the Time Segmented Volume and then put the Rate of Change indicator in the same pane and scale as Time Segmented Volume.

Change Data Source (3:38)
Indicator Scaling (2:38)

I cannot then speak to any meaning and possible interpretation when this is done. I can only say that at this point the crossovers points should no longer change.

Note that just plotting both indicators in the same scale will prevent the crossover points from moving even if you don't change the data source. That said, if you don't change the data source as well, the units being used will be different. It would be like plotting price and volume in the same scale and then asking if they cross.
