Hi Bruce,

I would like to make an easy scan to track down all price movements going outside the BB 30 1std

Is it possible?

Start by adding the Bollinger Bands to the chart and adjusting the settings as desired (so Period: 30 and Std Dev: 1.00).

Adding and Moving Indicators (7:19)

Then click on the Bollinger Bands and select Create Scan Condition. You will want to choose Exiting Channel from the the Price History vs Bollinger Bands section of the Condition drop-down menu in the Create Scan Condition window.

Create Conditions from Your Chart (5:25)

Selecting Scan in New Window will create a new EasyScan based on your new condition.

Building a Scan with Multiple Conditions (7:29)

It would be really helpful to also have a way to set an alert for a column within a scan.  If you have 80-90 stocks in a scan, for example, and you need one critical condition to occur, it would be great to know when that occurs.

I know you can add that to the scan but sometimes you want to chart several stocks in the base scan while waiting for one condition.  Right now, you have to watch the screen for checks in the one column.

Thanks.
