Hi Bruce,

 

Does US Common stocks list contain the AMEX stocks as well or just NASDAQ and NYSE (without the ETFs and indices)?

 

If so, what is the easiest way to have a list of just NASDAQ and NYSE stocks (without AMEX ones) but without ETFs and indices?

The US Common Stocks WatchList has the common stocks from the AMEX, NASDAQ and NYSE, not just the NASDAQ and NYSE.

Start by right-clicking on a symbol in a WatchList and selecting Clear All Flags in System.

Bring up the NASDAQ WatchList, right-click on a symbol and select Flag All | Symbols in List.

Bring up the NYSE WatchList, right-click on a symbol and select Flag All | Symbols in List.

Bring up the US Common Stocks WatchList, right-click on a symbol and select Copy Flagged Symbols To | (New Personal WatchList).

The new Personal WatchList should just have symbols that are in the US Common Stocks WatchList and also in either the NASDAQ WatchList or NYSE WatchList.

You will want to occassionally re-do this process as the symbols in these WatchLists are automatically updated, but your Personal WatchList is not.
