Is it possible to create a scan for bb %b between 2 values e.g. between .40 and .60?

The between 2 values option isn't available.

Thank you for any help.

You would create one condition for greater than .4 and another condition for less than .6 and add them both to the same EasyScan as EasyScan Conditions.

when i search in the forum for %B or %b i get no matches no matter how i try with the options. when i use Bollinger %b i get a lot of hits for Bollinger but anything about just %b is mixed in with massive amounts of just Bollinger hits. how do i find the topics just related to %B.

and while you are answering this could you also add the PCF that computes %B. thanks.

The search function in the forums ignores the % in the search. So searching spceficially for Bollinger %B is a bit difficult. I don't have a workaround.

An Indicator Formula for simple Bollinger %B 20, 2.00 could be written as:

(C - AVGC20) / 4 / SQR(ABS(C ^ 2 + C1 ^ 2 + C2 ^ 2 + C3 ^ 2 + C4 ^ 2 + C5 ^ 2 + C6 ^ 2 + C7 ^ 2 + C8 ^ 2 + C9 ^ 2 + C10 ^ 2 + C11 ^ 2 + C12 ^ 2 + C13 ^ 2 + C14 ^ 2 + C15 ^ 2 + C16 ^ 2 + C17 ^ 2 + C18 ^ 2 + C19 ^ 2 - 20 * AVGC20 ^ 2) / 20) + .5

Modelling Bollinger Bands (& Standard Deviation) in a TC PCF

That said, you are generally much better off not trying to write PCFs for this. Just click on the indicator and select Create Scan Condition or Add Column to WatchList.
