In John J Murphys book The Visual Investor ,which I highly recommend, he refers to the Commodity Research Bureau (CRB) Index and the Journal Of Commerce (JOC) Index but neihter of these are avaiable on TC2000. Can you suggest either other indices or ETF's the would give me the same results?

tarabia1,
The symbol for the CRB Index is CRY0. The 2nd index mentioned is not available.
Thanks for your post,

I had tried CRYO but , unless I'm missing something, it is not available.

The 0 in the symbol is a zero, not the letter O.

Check the chart, the current data point seems way out of range. As I recall, this is typical for this symbol for the current time period.

Got another question. How would I go about constucting a ratio chart using the CRB and any given treasury bone?

The Relative Strength (RS) indicator in TC2000 is the ratio of the active symbol to the comparison symbol (or to the active symbol's industry or sub-industry). So you can create a ratio chart by using the symbol you want to be the denominator as the comparison symbol in a RS indicator and then switch the chart to display the symbol you want to use as the numerator.

The RS keeps plotting the SPY as the comparison symbol regardless of how I set it up. The SPY is not checked off as the comparison symbol on the symbol list.

Click on Add Indicator and choose Relative Strength from the list.
Then click on the Relative Strength indicator and select Edit to edit its settings.
Type something another symbol in the Symbol setting besides SPY while leaving the Symol selected.
