Hi, is it possible to use the vwap for a devitation band? Im looking for a standard devitation band for the vwap using the standard deviation of each closing bar to the vwap line. Usually you use a 1, 2 and 3 standard deviation band around the vwap line displayed on a intraday i.e. 5 minute chart.

You can add Bollinger Bands to either the VWAP indicator or the Moving VWAP indicator. The Std Dev setting of the Bollinger Bands would be the multiple standard deviations around a moving average of the VWAP.

It would be possible to create a Custom Indicator which would use the Moving VWAP as the centerline instead of a moving average of the Moving VWAP, but something similar is not possible for the VWAP which is not a Moving VWAP.

Hi Bruce,

Is it possible to ask the Worden developers to code VWAP deviation bands?  Identifying confluence of the deviation bands with the bollinger bands is a great setup by itself.

Thanks.

Hi,

Have the VWAP deviation bands been added to TC2000 yet?

I am just about to sign up for TC2000, but this indicator is crucial for my trades and is currently the only thing that has me still with TOS.

Thanks

Add another subscriber looking for three standard deviations of the VWAP. Is it possible to give a pcf or suggestions to write our own?

There is not a way to create an automated version of this on your own because there is no way to determine the first bar of the day in any sort of Custom PCF Indicator. Nor is there a combination of indicators which could use the Change Data Source feature to create the desired indicator.
