Hi -

Using wordern 2000 v12, Iahve a question regarding bar period comparisons:

Given: bar period limit of 500 periods:

Then:

does yearly minl return the minimum low for a calendar year or a trailing year)?

Along the same vein, does weekly minl 104 returns min low over a span of 2 years or the minl during week 104?

Many thanks!

In TC2000 version 12.2, the low on a chart with a Yearly Time Frame is a low for the calender year.

So:

L

Is the low for the current calendar year. This would theoretically be the same as:

MINL1

While:

L1

Is the low for the previous calendar year. Which is theoretically the same as:

MINL1.1

On a Weekly chart:

MINL104

Is the lowest low in the most recent 104 calendar weeks.

One more question, same line:

minl52.52 (weekly)

would then look  back starting 52 weeks ago over the trailing 52 week range for the minimum low - I'm trying to evaluate trailing period ranges as opposed to calander years and appears to return the desired result from my small sampling. Also, is there any plan to allow calculation of total returns in the future?

Thanks, Pete

Yes, MINL52.52 in a Weekly Time Frame would return the lowest low in the 52-Weeks ending 52-bars ago.

I do not know when or if total returns will be available in the future. Thank you for the suggestion. It has been assigned case number 7611.
