I have a forumula for the chandelier stop (a volatility/atr trailing type stop) that appears to work well in tc2007.
I imported it to tc2000v12 & it looks backwards. On both GLD & SLV, for instance, the line representing the stop runs above prices for the last year or so while in tc2007 it runs below prices as it should.
The forumula is below:
MAXH14 - (((AVGH14 - AVGL14 + (ABS(H - C1) + ABS(L - C1) + ABS(H1 - C2) + ABS(L1 - C2) + ABS(H2 - C3) + ABS(L2 - C3) + ABS(H3 - C4) + ABS(L3 - C4) + ABS(H4 - C5) + ABS(L4 - C5) + ABS(H5 - C6) + ABS(L5 - C6) + ABS(H6 - C7) + ABS(L6 - C7) + ABS(H7 - C8) + ABS(L7 - C8) + ABS(H8 - C9) + ABS(L8 - C9) + ABS(H9 - C10) + ABS(L9 - C10) + ABS(H10 - C11) + ABS(L10 - C11) + ABS(H11 - C12) + ABS(L11 - C12) + ABS(H12 - C13) + ABS(L12 - C13) + ABS(H13 - C14) + ABS(L13 - C14)) / 14) / 2) * 3)

V12 doesn’t have a ‘plot using price scale” feature yet.
(your line probably works but plots on its own scale)
There may be some workaround using a channel width formula, but I’m not sure of all the V12 features yet.
Thanks

It is possible to work around the lack of a plot using price scale feature in the Custom PCF Indicator by using the Custom PCF Channel Indicator as it always plots using the price scale.
Use the Formula from the Custom PCF Indicator as the Indicator Line Formula in the Custom PCF Channel Indicator and set the Channel Width Formula to something that always returns zero such as C - C.

Any ideas why this plots different in different versions of telechart?

The formula doesn't plot differently when plotted using the price scale. Read through diceman's Monday, September 05, 2011 9:02:43 AM ET post and my Tuesday, September 06, 2011 8:48:08 AM ET post for the reason and a workaround for any differences.

Bruce-Thanks for that. Looks like it works great. I had to read your explanation about 6 times & stumble/bumble around a bit but it now looks the same on v12 & tc2007 & the values agree to the penny.
