I would like to know if this software can use say for moving averages or other studies a source beside close ie open or high ot low or high low close/3 etc? As well does this do charts using volume bars or tic bars?

The Tick Time Frame is available with Platinum service.

Volume Bars can be created in StockFinder, but not in the current production release of TeleChart or the TC2000.com version 11 beta.

Parent Indicators cannot be applied to other Indicators.

Child Indicators can be applied to other Indicators.

In the current production release of TeleChart, you could create a Custom Indicator for the Open, High, Low or (High + Low + Close) / 3 and then apply a Child Indicator to the Custom Indicator.

In the TC2000.com version 11 beta, the Moving Average has an option to use the Open, High, Low or (High + Low + Close) / 3 in addition to the Close, but most of the other Child Indicators do not. Custom PCF Indicators can be used in many cases to create the desired results however.

In StockFinder, you can use RealCode to create almost any Indicator for which you can objectively define the algorithm. You can then apply Child Indicators to the Indicators you create as well.

Bruce,

I see the "Tick Time Frame" is part of your reply above. What is that? I trade using mostly tick charts of varying tick values: ie 89t, 233t, 377t etc. Are these available in ver 11 Platinum? How accurate is the data, how close to actual timing is it? Thought I saw Interactive Brokers as an API source, may have been in StockFinder.

I really like the software, but I daytrade Futures(emini's) and stocks. Perhaps the software/datafeed are inappropriate?

Thank you for a reply

The Tick Time Frame available with Platinum service plots data points for every trade instead of plotting Bars at fixed intervals of time. It is accurate current Realtime Streaming data. It does not create Bars from a certain number of ticks (which is what you appear to be describing).

The only broker currently available in the TC2000.com version 11 beta is TD Ameritrade (StockFinder has Interactive Brokers and optionsXpress as well as TD Ameritrade).
