Why does the BackScanner result show a loss in the win column?  Is it perhaps because it takes into account the spead and/or trade fees?

BackScanner does not take into account the spread or trade fees when reporting Return/Trade. If you Share your Layout (select Share | Share Layout) and provide the Layout Name here, we can take a look.

It has been shared as "Negative Return in Win column".  The Worst Exit in the Winners column has a negative return of -0.62%.  I don't understand why.

You may want to check out Chapter 10 (BackScanner) of the StockFinder User Manual. While the Return/Trade should never be negative (because the trade is a winner), some of the other statistics given do not represent actual Exits but what might have happened if you exited earlier in the trade.

Worst Exit - Worst Exit shows the average worst exit for every trade in each category. The worst exit is measured from the open of the trade to the lowest low (for longs) or highest high (for shorts) of the trade. This number gives you an idea of the downward volatility of the trade. Like Draw down, you have to evaluate whether the worst exit of the trade would be too much for you to endure. If it would be too much, you should adjust your BackScan.
