I'm using BackScanner and I want to "Exit All", but I'm confused as to how to configure "Bars" under Condition, and "Bars from Now" under Action.

a) I want to exit on close, same day
b) I want to exit on close, next day

If you want to Exit All on the Close of the same day the Exit Rule is met, you would Exit All at Close 0 Bars from Now.

If you want to Exit All on the Close of the the day following the day the Exit Rule is met, you would Exit All at Close 1 Bar from Now.

Both of the above assume the Time Frame being used is 1-Day. It should be noted that only one Rule in BackScanner can be triggered during each Bar. When more than one Rule is True during a Bar, the Rule with the highest Priority will be triggered.

If I want to enter and exit on the same day, how do I assign priority?

I am not aware of a way to Enter and Exit on the same Bar in the current version of BackScanner.  To Enter and Exit on the same Day, you would need to be using an intraday Time Frame.

When I configure BackScanner to exit at Close 1 Bar From Now, it doesnt perform the task correctly.  It makes a random exit at either 1 or 2 Bars from Now.

Does your Exit Rule have a higher priority than your Entry Rule? If not, the most common reason for not Exiting when you might think it would is that the Entry Rule is True and has a higher Priority.

I guess it might have a higher priority, but don't know how to tell.  I only have two rules and they are:

1) Buy Long at Close 0 Bars from Now.

2) Condition:  Trade Length > 0 bars
Action:  Exit All at Close 1 Bars from Now

The Rule that is highest on the list has the highest Priority. So try putting your Exit Rule above your Entry Rule.
