I am trying to trade within the first few minutes of the market opening, and using an easy scan to search for stocks that gapped.
I was wondering if I had to update my Telechart right before the market opens, Or right when it is opening.

EasyScans and Personal Criteria Formulas are always based on the twenty-minute delayed Daily data.
If you want to find Gaps on the Open, you could sort on a Custom Percent True Indicator, but Real Time Indicator Sorts are limited to the top 200 symbols in the Watchlist.

So are you saying that I would have to wait 20 minutes into the market open before my easy scans would give me up to date information?
Also, what do you mean that the real time sorts are limited to the top 200 symbols in the watchlist?

Yes, you would need to wait twenty minutes after the market opens to get Personal Criteria Formulas or EasyScans that include data for the current Market Day.
Real Time Indicator Sorts can be used when the market opens, but only work on the top 200 Symbols in the Watchlist. The second video referenced in my original response covers Real Time Indicator Sorting in considerably greater detail.

Thanks Bruce, I just have one more question....
Can I update my Telechart the night before the market opens, Instead of updating it as the market is opening?

If you update TeleChart any time after about 7 to 8 PM ET, you should get the Market Close update. You would get the same update at that point as you would get up until about 20 minutes after the Market opens the next day.
