Where can I watch a video or take a tutorial or even find somewhere in the help menu that explains FROM THE 1ST STEP how to go about adding blocks and connecting them to other blocks for the purpose of setting up a scan?  I just want to sort a watchlist on a single column.  It would be nice to find where the meaning of the various block shapes and colors is listed.  Related question:  When setting up a column to scan and sort from do first have to create an indicator, apply it to a chart, and then drag it over to the watchlist as a new column or can I bypass the chart display and get right to the watchlist?  At this time I'm not interested in strategies.  In advance, thanks for your answers.

You do not need to create a Plot and drag it to your Watchlist to create a Watchlist Column, but you can create a Watchlist Column using an existing Plot:

NEW FEATURE Drag and Drop sorting with Mini-Charts

Chapters 6 through 9 of the Blocks Online Users Guide cover creating Block Diagrams in detail. While it does not always use the most recent terminology (it was created for Blocks 1.x), the following video is another good place to start learning how to use Block Diagrams:

Your First 3 Block Diagrams

The first step in creating a new Watchlist Column from scratch is to right-click on a blank portion of the Watchlist Column Header and select Add Column and then choose the type of Column you wish to add. The inputs and outputs that are available for the Watchlist Column will vary based on the type of Watchlist Column chosen. Left-clicking and dragging on one of these inputs or outputs will bring up a context sensitive menu with valid options for that particular connection.

Version 3 does not have a release date as of yet.  We are offering pre-release access via our Training Classes as we roll it out.
