Hello guys,

I was wondering if you could write up some formula that goes as follows:

Using the CCI Indicator ( close, 8 ) that if on Mon it is at +50.00 or Higher and on Tues it is at +100.00 or Higher and at the close on Wed the CCI closes Below the close of Mon, then show me that stock.

At the opposite end I would want to see if the CCI Indicator  ( close, 8 ) on Mon is at +50.00 or LOWER and on Tues it is at -100.00 or Lower and at the close on Wed the CCI closes Above the close of Mon, then show me that stock.

Thanking you in advance,

Hello again,

Just following up and wondering why I have not heard if I needed more info in my request to you ?

Basically, all this boils down to is a formula that would show me stocks  that at the close today the CCI using close, 8  closes below the reading of 3 days ago.

Example Mon the CCI closes a a certain number
                 Tues the CCI closes at a certain number
Now, say today is Wed the CCI closes below the reading of Monday's number.  Show me that stock.

This would be at a potential Top area.

Now at the opposite end I would want to see the CCI using close, 8 close above the close of 3 days ago.

Example  Mon the CCI closes at a certain number
                  Tues the CCI closes at a certain number
Now, say today is Wed the CCI closes above the reading of Monday's number. Show me that stock.

This would be a potential Bottom area.

Thanking you in advance,

Gerry

It can take some time for a post to receive a response, especially a request that is made over the weekend. Bumbing a topic or posting another topic referencing the original topic will not affect the response time. Please download the attached .scond files to:

\My Documents\Blocks Files\Tool Parts\Strategy Conditions

Once downloaded, you should be able to select Add Condition | My Computer when adding a Strategy Condition to access them.

You can use QuickEdit to adjust the settings or view the Block Diagram.

Hello Bruce,

What you sent me I am told is ti be used with the Block Program.

I presently do not have that software.

Can it be written for the regular Tc 2000 ?

Thanks,

Thanks Bruce,

Would it be possible for you to send me the same formula but using  CCI close, 4 for both formulas.

Reason being is that I want to try to run these for the next few weeks and see which one works best for me.

Thanking you in advance,

Gerry

I'm just guessing at what you mean by "CCI Close". My thought is to remove High and Low prices from the computations, but I'm not sure this is what you want or not since CCI seems to be based on Typical Price by definition:

(C2 - AVGC8.2) * 1600 / 3 / (ABS(C2 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C3 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C4 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C5 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C6 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C7 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C8 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C9 - AVGC8.2) + .000001) >= 50 AND (C1 - AVGC8.1) * 1600 / 3 / (ABS(C1 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C2 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C3 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C4 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C5 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C6 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C7 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C8 - AVGC8.1) + .000001) >= 100 AND (C - AVGC8) * 1600 / 3 / (ABS(C - AVGC8) + ABS(C1 - AVGC8) + ABS(C2 - AVGC8) + ABS(C3 - AVGC8) + ABS(C4 - AVGC8) + ABS(C5 - AVGC8) + ABS(C6 - AVGC8) + ABS(C7 - AVGC8) + .000001) < (C2 - AVGC8.2) * 1600 / 3 / (ABS(C2 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C3 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C4 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C5 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C6 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C7 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C8 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C9 - AVGC8.2) + .000001)

(C2 - AVGC8.2) * 1600 / 3 / (ABS(C2 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C3 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C4 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C5 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C6 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C7 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C8 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C9 - AVGC8.2) + .000001) <= ( - 50) AND (C1 - AVGC8.1) * 1600 / 3 / (ABS(C1 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C2 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C3 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C4 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C5 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C6 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C7 - AVGC8.1) + ABS(C8 - AVGC8.1) + .000001) <= ( - 100) AND (C - AVGC8) * 1600 / 3 / (ABS(C - AVGC8) + ABS(C1 - AVGC8) + ABS(C2 - AVGC8) + ABS(C3 - AVGC8) + ABS(C4 - AVGC8) + ABS(C5 - AVGC8) + ABS(C6 - AVGC8) + ABS(C7 - AVGC8) + .000001) > (C2 - AVGC8.2) * 1600 / 3 / (ABS(C2 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C3 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C4 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C5 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C6 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C7 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C8 - AVGC8.2) + ABS(C9 - AVGC8.2) + .000001)

Hello Bruce,

Yes, I'm looking at CCI  (close, 4 ) but I believe what you just sent is still CCI Close 8 instead of the CCI close 4 in my last request.

Thanks,

You seem to be understanding the formula fairly well. You could probably write them on your own at this point.

(C2 - AVGC4.2) * 800 / 3 / (ABS(C2 - AVGC4.2) + ABS(C3 - AVGC4.2) + ABS(C4 - AVGC4.2) + ABS(C5 - AVGC4.2) + .000001) >= 50 AND (C1 - AVGC4.1) * 800 / 3 / (ABS(C1 - AVGC4.1) + ABS(C2 - AVGC4.1) + ABS(C3 - AVGC4.1) + ABS(C4 - AVGC4.1) + .000001) >= 100 AND (C - AVGC4) * 800 / 3 / (ABS(C - AVGC4) + ABS(C1 - AVGC4) + ABS(C2 - AVGC4) + ABS(C3 - AVGC4) + .000001) < (C2 - AVGC4.2) * 800 / 3 / (ABS(C2 - AVGC4.2) + ABS(C3 - AVGC4.2) + ABS(C4 - AVGC4.2) + ABS(C5 - AVGC4.2) + .000001)

(C2 - AVGC4.2) * 800 / 3 / (ABS(C2 - AVGC4.2) + ABS(C3 - AVGC4.2) + ABS(C4 - AVGC4.2) + ABS(C5 - AVGC4.2) + .000001) <= ( - 50) AND (C1 - AVGC4.1) * 800 / 3 / (ABS(C1 - AVGC4.1) + ABS(C2 - AVGC4.1) + ABS(C3 - AVGC4.1) + ABS(C4 - AVGC4.1) + .000001) <= ( - 100) AND (C - AVGC4) * 800 / 3 / (ABS(C - AVGC4) + ABS(C1 - AVGC4) + ABS(C2 - AVGC4) + ABS(C3 - AVGC4) + .000001) > (C2 - AVGC4.2) * 800 / 3 / (ABS(C2 - AVGC4.2) + ABS(C3 - AVGC4.2) + ABS(C4 - AVGC4.2) + ABS(C5 - AVGC4.2) + .000001)
