I'm using Blocks Pre Release. I'm writing some custom sell blocks by combining 2 or more strategy.

Some times blocks like "Strategy Time Frame" does not exist in that condition. How to grab it and put in condition?

Thanks.

Guys any idea? Some other blocks are "Test Symbol".

Some of block diagrams of exit strategies are not listed in library and wish I can copy-paste it.

Please reply. The blocks library does not seem to have all blocks that exist in your strategy.

Please reply on how to grab them.
Thanks

I would copy the entire Strategy Time Frame, Parameter: Time Frame, Time Frame Switch from another Block Diagram (Price | Price Per Share has it).

Hold down the CTRL key on your keyboard and left click and drag to highlight the portion of the Block Diagram you wish to copy. This will create a box as an outline. The outline will disappear, but the Blocks that were in it will remain highlighted.

Right-click in the highlighted area and select Copy.

You can now paste these copied Blocks someplace else in the Block Diagram or in another Block Diagram entirely.

Test Symbol shouldn't be copied from one Block Diagram to another (and can't be added to a Block Diagram). It is already supplied in Strategy Condition Block Diagrams (a similar Column Symbol Block is provided in Column Block Diagrams) and is not meaningful in other types of Block Diagrams.

You may wish to review the following (it was designed for Blocks 1.x and may use outdated terminology):

Your First 3 Block Diagrams

PS - You may or may not have noticed that there are other unanswered questions in the forums that accumulated over the weekend. Bumping a topic (making another post that doesn't provide additional information but is designed merely to bring it to the top of the list or bring attention to the topic) not only does not get a quicker response, it is strictly prohibited.

I watched recommended video and still struggling in getting Test Symbol on my Sell Block Diagram.

I'm searching "Test Symbol" in all available places like following.
Any more clues on where to find "Strategy Condition Block Diagrams" are appreciated.

Test Symbol can't be added to a Block Diagram.

Test Symbol is already part of all Block Diagrams where it is applicable.

When you select Add Condition | New Condition and then right-click on the Condition and select Properties, a Test Symbol Block (a green arrow) will already be there.

I use Pre-Release of Blocks where some blocks are replaced by others and new blocks are added. e.g. "Price Data for Trade", "Current Trade Entry Date", "Current Trade Entry Price".

I remember that 'Stop Loss' Condition had "Test Symbol" before but its replaced by "Price Data for Trade" now.

For my Stop Loss I need to look past from my Trade Start Date and average with trade price. Attached is what I'm trying to use as my exit strategy.

Thanks for your responses and patience to answer the queries. I know its hard job.

Regards.

When I create a new Trade Stop Condition, it starts with Test Symbol, Prices Data for Trade, Current Trade Entry Date, Current Trade Entry Price and T/F Condition. I don't get all of the arrows in the upper right hand corner of your Block Diagram. Where they copied and pasted from other Block Diagrams?

You definitely need to use the Test Symbol Block to have the Minimum Block (60) calculate using data prior to the trade. If you want to see my version of your Trade Stop Condition, please download the attached .scond file to:

\My Documents\Blocks Files\Tool Parts\Strategy Conditions

Once downloaded, you should be able to select Add Condition | My Computer when adding a Strategy Condition to access it.

You can use QuickEdit to adjust the settings or view the Block Diagram.

Your block worked well. I did not copy-paste right arrows, they were pasted there one over others.

My Stop Loss condition does not have Symbol in it. It looks as I posted above. Tomorrow I might post my blocks of that.

Thanks for putting that block for me.

You're welcome. I'm not sure why your Block Diagram would not have started with the Test Symbol Block in it.
