Is it possible to color black & white candlesticks as red & green candlesticks ? I am unable to locate the option to get this coloring option.

In the current version, you can't change the colors of your candles. However, in version 6, due out shortly after the first of the year, you will have that capability.
In the meantime, an empty candle is an up day, and a solid candle is a down day.

Salreja, I have found that by applying the BOP colors of bright green for High BOP & bright Red for low BOB & applying these colors to the price graph with candlesticks is effective for spoting bullish candle patterns when rapidly flipping thru stock graphs.Use the edit button & apply BOP in one of the lower windows along with the green/red volume in the third window. Those stocks with strong volume surge & rising TSV will stand out like a sore thumb.

Craig, Your welcome. Having this forum along with all the software & trainers is a great value. I've just begun to dig deeper into telechart to find what a powerfull tool it can be for trading.Taking personal scans a bit further by setting these criteria up with certain colors is a time saver as well.Selreja, made a good point for an addition to this & some new capabilities in newer additions will no-doubt come from forum feedback.

Salreja,Your welcome. I've been using TC-2000 for just a few months now, and I can't believe what I have been missing with it's capabilities for research & analysis all these years.Im beginning to set up my fundamental data fields with red & green combinations as well.I've found by using a priority of meaningfull data, that is what I consider the most important data I use for stock picking with a green 'background' color for positive numbers & red for negative ( which stands out more in these fields than using green or red as a foreground color). And then use the foreground colors for less significant stock picking criteria, & finally using a different color or neutral color for data that doesn't change or very little or is a secondary consideration that has less influence on price change, such as exchange, capitalization, optionable, beta etc.. This set up, allows me to do a scan with my priorities of criteria and then visualize thru the best charts very quickly. Those charts that give me the best "Green" light are the ones I will scrutinize more closly. Of course it's easy to get emotional this way, because this method will bring out some momentum & overbought plays that require careful scrutiny of all the indicators & data. Happy Charting!!

Hi Doug, is that still on for the imminent release? I am liking TC2000 quite a lot so far but definitely missing having my candles or bars coloured accordingly.. so used to that after several years of trading...

TeleChart 2005 will hit wide release very soon (weeks, not months). At first you will have the ability to color the bars (or candles) if the close is higher or lower than the previous bar's close. I expect you will see this capability expanded so you can color the candle based on the close vs. open for the day.
