tysync shared several indicator formulas in this report. After entering
these formulas as they were written in the report, I could not make them appear on the screen. I then went to Peter Wordens Chat and found where
tysync shared a chart with the indicators. I clicked to view the chart
and it came up garbled. It showed tysync chart with my indicators on it
not his. I fussed with it but could'nt make it work. I then closed out
TC2000 completely and brought it back up. unfortunately the chat did not
go back to 10:42 where you clicked to retrieve his chart. Is it possible
you could send me his corrected indicators. I think tysync is one of the
more knowledgable traders and would like to include these as among the
indicators I watch. Thank you Howard Goul 219410

Where did you enter them? As PCFs or using the CUSTOM INDICATOR feature?

There are five PCFs in the report. Only one:

3) (O-C1)

is correct.

The other four either have an incorrect variable or incorrect syntax or both.

Thanks,
Jim Murphy

The text of my last submission does not show.I amtrying again. Ientered them as CUSTOM INDICATORS. I notice that Jim Murphy in
dicated in a post that they were not written correctly
and I must confess that I do not have the math skills to correct them. Thanks again for help. Howard

I set them up in a Custom Indicator and this is what I found!

I had no problem with these!
1) (H-C)+(C-L)
2) 0-((O-C)+(H-C))
3) (O-C1)

These two, however, had problems.
Another way to look at all three-
((H-O)+(C-L)) + (0-((O-L)+(H-C)) + (O-C1)

was missing a close paranthesis, which I added to the end to get:
((H-O)+(C-L)) + (0-((O-L)+(H-C)) + (O-C1))

You could also add today's close-
(((H-O)+©-L)) + (0-((O-L)+(H-C))) + (O-C1)) + C

the © is a typo. I replaced it with O:

(((H-O)+O-L)) + (0-((O-L)+(H-C))) + (O-C1)) + C

and got a plot against price!

Bill

PS. In looking at the last formula, I think it would be improved with an extra set of paranthesis, but I'm not sure if that would change the plot. Mr. Tysync should be the one to tell us!

Here is what I see.

QUOTE
the move from the open to the high and the move from the low to the close . This can be expressed in a custom indicator set to center 0 line as - (H-C)+(C-L)

Based on his description I would guess he meant:

(H-O)+(C-L)
QUOTE
the move from the open to the low and the move from the high to the close. This can be expressed in a custom indicator set to center 0 line as - 0-((O-C)+(H-C))

Based on his description I would guess he meant:
0-((O-L)+(H-C))

The third looks right as bustermu mentions above.
QUOTE
Another way of looking at it is to place all 3 pieces in a single indicator also set to center 0 line in the other lower window... ((H-O)+(C-L)) + (0-((O-L)+(H-C)) + (O-C1)

I would guess he meant:
((H-O)+(C-L))+(0-((O-L)+(H-C)))+(O-C1)

QUOTE
You could also add today's close ((H-O)+(C-L)) + (0-((O-L)+(H-C)) + (O-C1) + (O-C1)) + C

I would guess he meant:
((H-O)+(C-L))+(0-((O-L)+(H-C)))+(O-C1)+C

Waiting on confirmation from TiSync, but based on the text and the combined formulas in his letter, the forumlas below should be correct.

1. (H-O)+(C-L)
2. (0-((O-L)+(H-C)))
3. (O-C1)
4. ((H-O)+(C-L)) + (0-((O-L)+(H-C))) + (O-C1)
5. ((H-O)+(C-L)) + (0-((O-L)+(H-C))) + (O-C1) + C

Oops, in reviewing the formulas again, I see that the © should have been a C. this is what I put into a custom Indicator!

(((H-O)+(C-L))) + (0-((O-L)+(H-C))) + (O-C1)) + C

If you look at StockGuy's post you'll see the answer!

The 4th formula is a combination of formulas;

1) + 2) + 3) or

1. (H-O)+(C-L) + 2. (0-((O-L)+(H-C))) + 3. (O-C1) ===>

(H-O)+(C-L) + (0-((O-L)+(H-C))) + (O-C1)

and that the 5th formula is;

the 4th formula plus Close or

(H-O)+(C-L) + (0-((O-L)+(H-C))) + (O-C1) + C
