I have been trying to add to Chris Worden's breakout video so that not only will it
scan for breakouts but also scan for pullbacks from that breakout.

So I would like to scan for the break up size like he did in the video but for say 10 days ago. Then I need to add a pcf to his easy scan the will scan for pullbacks from that breakout for the last 10 days.

I have tried to modify his pcf's but cant figure out how to get his breakup size to work for X (say 10) Number of days ago so that I can add a pcf to look for the pull back after the breakout.

Can you tell me what i need to change to get the scan working?

I'm really not positive which video is being referenced. If you post the Personal Criteria Formulas here, we should be able to adjust them to 10 days ago.

dfaris,
Please try the following:

BreakUp Size (10 Ago):
(C10 - H11) / (AVGH65.10 - AVGL65.10)

BreakDown Size (10 Ago):
(C10 - L11) / (AVGH65.10 - AVGL65.10)

CloseVSmovingavg40 (10 Ago):
(C10 - AVGC40.10) / (AVGH65.10 - AVGL65.10)

closeVSmovingavg40yest (10 Ago):
(C11 - AVGC40.11) / (AVGH65.11 - AVGL65.11)

Volume Surge Today (10 Ago):
100 * V10 / AVGV100.10

Hey Bruce,

Ok can you explain just a bit more? Would Iadd these to the current easy scan (from the video) and adjust so that these would have the breakout and then adjust the current PCF to scan for the pull back from that break out?

They are the same conditions used in the video except they are written for ten periods ago instead of for the current period. You would use them the same way except that you would use these Personal Criteria Formulas instead off (not in conjuction with) the PCFs in the video. You can then add whatever conditions you wish to use for the pullback.
