I have an Easyscan that finds stocks that are in a long term up trend. The criteria in the scan are:
1. MAX(STOC30.15,10) - MIN(STOC30.15,10) = value < 3.5 (to find stocks where Stoc30.15 is close to a flat line for the past 10 days) 2. STOC30.15 = value > 70 (I want the Stoc flat-lining at a high value) 3. (MAXH10 - MINL10) * 100 / C = value > 2.28 (to leave out stocks where the price has been flat for 10 days) 4. There are also some criteria for mkt cap, volume, and for leaving out closed-end debt funds.
For 3/2/06, the scan finds 313 stocks. I look at all of them, and move about 70 that I want to watch to a permanent "Trending Stocks to Watch" watchlist. Every day I'll add the stocks that I'm interested in from the scan to this watchlist.
Now when I run the scan again on subsequent days, it's going to find many of the same stocks. Is there a way to eliminate the stocks that are already in the "Trending Stocks to Watch" watchlist from the results of the scan to reduce the number that I have to look at every day?

Here is what I would do.
Go to the scan result WatchList and FLAG ALL.
Change over to the Personal WatchList and UNFLAG ALL.
Go back to the scan result WatchList and any stock NOT FLAGGED is already in your Personal WatchList.
Hold down the SHIFT key as you press your spacebar. You will scroll from flagged stock to flagged stock. Hit the F key on any you are NOT interested in moving over. When you are done, copy the remaining flagged items to your Personal WatchList.
Lather, rinse and repeat each day.

Scan results are completely controlled by your scan conditions. You can control what stocks remain in a Personal WatchList, but it is those scan conditions that will always determine which stocks remain in an EasyScan WatchList.
You might want to create a Personal WatchList that includes all of the symbols your scan produced, and call it something like March 3 Stochastics Scan Results. Then flag all of the stocks in the Trending Stocks to Watch watchlist. Now when you're looking at the Trending Scan Results watchlist, just have TeleChart to remove all symbols from that watchlist...and now you can scroll through to your hearts content...knowing you have today's scan results....but showing only stocks you haven't already put into the Trending Stocks to Watch watchlist.
Step by step, it would look like this each day:
1. Unflag all stocks, then flag all of the stocks in Trending Stocks to Watch. 2. Run your stochastics scan. 3. Click New|New WatchList 4. Name the watchlist March 3 Stochastics Scan Results 5. Click the button that says Start with Symbols from the Active WatchList 6. Click OK 7. Click WatchList|Remove Symbols|Flagged
You now have a watchlist called March 3 Stochastics Scan Results. It includes all the stocks your scan found for you, but it will not include any that you have already put in your Trending Stocks To Watch watchlist on previous days.
Several steps each day, but it really goes quite quickly...and you'll have exactly what you want.

Perfectly brilliant, or brilliantly perfect, or both. I figured it could be done, but just couldn't quite get there by myself. Thanks for your help.
