I hear that there are still a few companies whose stock trades on the Curb.

Can anyone name 5 or more without cheating and looking it up?

You have all year to come up with answer. Whoever can name the most during year, provided it is at least 5 wins a free lunch on the curb of their choice in the Financial District

Happy New Year All

amex .. mmm let me see ...slw (silver wheaton) , cup (peru copper), ONT (on2 networks) TGB, GSS .... these are my favourites....

SLW .... aim is to be the biggest silver producer in the world
CUP ... currently investigating potentially one of the biggest copper mines in the world $25 billion lbs of copper are present on preliminary investigations. Currently they have hired SNC lavalin to confirm their original findings ...great buy out traget by some like PD

ONT ...very cool video compression software ...very volatile for those short term traders who like the low priced stocks.

TGB ... a gold mine as is GSS ...both stocks are in a strong sector.

RNK ...an interesting company in the alternate power source ....another strong sector...currently consolidating close to its April 2000 high ....BOp shows accumulation. it went up 300 % in 2005.

as you can see I love trading stocks on the AMEX ... there are a lot of up and coming companies on it ...lots of resource stocks.

Do ETFs count? Excellent question.

ETFs count if you trade them, but not for this purpose.

Okay.

As far as I know there is currently one AMEX stock listed in the IBD 100.

Hint: IBD lists this company in the Retail/Whlse-Cmptr/Cell Industry Group.

Telechart list this company in Electronics Wholesale Sub-Group.

The AMEX lists it in the ? group.

Anyone know or care to guess. The stock has been very hot as of late, up over 350% since October 2005.

The one I am talking about is trading a hair under $20 and is up $1.75 or almost 10% today as I write this.

Without looking, EXM used to be an AMEX stock (Excel Maritime), FWIW. I haven't followed it for a while, don't know if it still trades on AMEX. I remember watching it on my ticker a couple of months ago when it was trading somewhere between $40 and $70, I beleive. I can't remember, but it was about at its all time high, when, suddenly, without warning, it quoted over $500! There is a post somewhere in this forum about this type of occurance. It was a pretty low volume stock, as most of AMEX seem to be, even when it was flyin'.

EXM had a great run but now is down to $11 or so

The stock that I am talking about is now over $20 and up over 20% today without a gap. LOL
