charting over the xmas holiday Rate this Topic:

i understand the chart is still running over the Xmas holiday for forex. is this the norm when there are no trades on xmas. wont this affect the charts since they are all based on averaging and doesnt seem logical to take this into account?

I would suspect that TC2000 uses Bars with data when doing calculations, rather than just calendar dates. eg when I want a data point from a year ago, I would indicate 252 (or thereabouts) to indicate a bar one year ago

Hi Bcochrane, i dont think tats the case. Take a look at 15min charts, as you can see the moving averages are still moving towards a centre point despite the value being constant. If the xmas day data is being ignored by TC2000. It should remain at the same value in a straight line.
