Hi There,

I'm looking to include the MACD crossing the signal line in my scans. The default scan criteria for MACD crossover is MACD (12,26,9). How do I have it search for different numbers such as my MACD (6,13,5)?

Thanks in advance!

Dan

The easy way to do this is just to add the MACD to the charts, adjust its settings as desired and then click on the MACD and select Create Scan Condition.

Create Conditions from Your Chart

If you really need to create a Condition Formula for this, a crossover in either direction of the Exponential MACD 6,13 through its 5-Period Exponential Moving Average Signal Line could be written as:

SGN(XAVGC6 - XAVGC13 - XAVG(XAVGC6,5) + XAVG(XAVGC13,5)) <> SGN(XAVGC6.1 - XAVGC13.1 - XAVG(XAVGC6.1,5) + XAVG(XAVGC13.1,5))
