how do i bring up a daily chart of a stock from 4 or 5 or 8 years ago?  all i seem to get are monthlys going back that far, and when i have the year i'm looking for and hit the daily key, the chart becomes current.   the sliders on the bottom aren't able to take the chart back that far.  tx.

You can't. TC2000 version 12.2 is currently limited to the most recent 500 bars of data in any Time Frame.

This means there is only about 2 years of data available in a Daily Time Frame.

You would need to switch to a longer Time Frame to view older data in TC2000 version 12.2.

It should be noted that in TC2000 version 7 there is more than 20 years of Daily data for most symbols which have been around that long. Some symbols go back even further. The data for IBM goes back to 1962 and the data for DJ-30 goes back to 1915 for example.

A TC2000 data subscription includes access to both TC2000 version 12.2 and TC2000 version 7.

thanks, bruce.  so the wealth of indicators in the 12. versions cannot be used to analyze historical data as they are not available in tc2000, correct?  are there pcf's for any of the library indicators?

It is possible to create Personal Criteria Formulas and Custom Indicators to replicate some of the new indicators in TC2000 version 12.2 that are not in TC2000 version 7, but not all of them, and maybe not even most of them.

I do not have a comprehensive list of which indicators can be replicated and which cannot. Any indicators which have been created have been done on an ad hoc basis in response to previous forum posts. In most cases, you would need to create an entirely different formula for each indicator based on the specific settings required.

It is possible to search the forums for the names of specific indicators to see if their are any topics which contain the name of the indicator. The Learn how to use the forums: post a new topic, reply, Search existing topics topic explores how to search the forum.
