I'm a Noob and have been dabbling with the PCF's for MA's etc and loving the site.

I could sure use some help though in setting up a PCF to scan for a weekly MACD histogram that is up for let's say 4 weeks in a row. It doesn't have to be specific to above or below the zero line - only that it is improving weekly.....

Thanks!

Are you using the current production release of TeleChart or the TC2000.com version 11 beta?

What are the settings of your MACD Histogram?

- Short Period: ?
- Long Period: ?
- Trigger Period: ?
- Average Type: ?

Bruce....

Beta TC2000 Version 11.0.4088.31513

Sorry I misspoke here.... I'm looking at the basic weekly MACD with plot style set to "histogram" so there's no trigger setting.....

Short is 12
Long is 26
Exponential

Thanks

You need to make sure that the Time Frame in the Personal Criteria Formula is set to Weekly, but the formula is relatively straightforward (it would be pretty complex in the current production release of TeleChart):

XAVGC12 - XAVGC26 > XAVGC12.1 - XAVGC26.1 AND XAVGC12.1 - XAVGC26.1 > XAVGC12.2 - XAVGC26.2 AND XAVGC12.2 - XAVGC26.2 > XAVGC12.3 - XAVGC26.3 AND XAVGC12.3 - XAVGC26.3 > XAVGC12.4 - XAVGC26.4
