Hi,
I was trying to create formula which came up with an error.Would you please help me.Criteria are as below.
Low today<previous 10 day low.
Today's range>average range of the last 20 days.
Close today in the top 50% of the day's range.
Close today>close yesterday.
Volume today>highest volume of the previous 10 days.

I would create these as separate PCFs which you can then combine in EasyScan any way you like.
Low today<previous 10 day low
L<MINL10.1
Today's range>average range of the last 20 days
H-L>AVGGH20.1-AVGL20.1
Close today in the top 50% of the day's range
I would do it this way:
Close as % of Range
100*(C-L)/(H-L)
(you can then add it in EasyScan and limit the values to 50 to MAX or any number you like)
Close today>close yesterday
No need for a PCF. Just add Price Percent Change Today and set it to VALUES greater than zero.
Volume today>highest volume of the previous 10 days
V>AVGV10.1

What is the error message? You may wish to try the following Personal Criteria Formula:
L < MINL10.1 AND H - L > AVGH20.1 - AVGL20.1 AND C - L >= .5 * (H - L) AND C > C1 AND V > MAXV10.1

Hi Bruce,
I tried the formula you have given still came up with the error.Here is the message.
Error on formula syntax.Criterion Information-Market Days Needed to Calculate Criterion:22.I pasted your your formula as follows.
(L < MINL10.1)(H - L > AVGGH20.1 - AVGL20.1)(C - L >= .5 * (H - L)(C > C1)(V > MAXV10.1)
Please advice me again.

You need to copy the entire formula including the ANDs. As diceman already mentioned, the message is informational. Have you had a chance to review the videos Craig referenced?
