Hi Bruce,

Request you help.

  1. Is there a pcf that can identify stocks that have tried crossing the 52 week highs in a given year.
  2. Can it indicate the frequency. Say stock tried crossing   its 52 week high of $10 - 3 timed in a year.
  3. A pcf that can scan for stocks that are 1% close to their  52 week high.

Thanks in advance

Hi Bruce,

Is there a pcf formula for the following and if so please let me know? An example:

- Stock x has had a gap up today and the price moved from 10$ to 13$.

I want to know on this symbol how often has a gap up happend in a years time frame?

Secondly with a gap up the price tends to continue going up for sometime as there is normally momentum on that stock.

Is there anyway to estimate how long the the price will continue going up based on its previous gap up that the symbol has had?

Is there any specigic indicator that I can use?

Thanks in anticipation.

QUOTE (Bruce_L)

There are all sorts of techniques used to identify trend reversals. You can look for Swing High and Swing Low patterns, Pivot High and Pivot Low patterns, moving averages to be crossing through each other the +DI and -DI crossing in a Directional Movement indicator, the Linear Regression Slope crossing through zero as well as many other ideas. Any Personal Criteria Formula would depend on your particular definition.

Thanks for the reply.

I was thinking of moving average or the stocasthics as the definition for getting a monthly trend reversal.

Is there a PCF that could be used.

Thanks in advance

Hi Bruce,

Please let me know a PCf formula that indicates a price reversal on an annual chart.

Prices moving from a  down trend to a uptrend revrsal and price reversal moving down from an uptrend.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Hi Bruce,

Please clarify the following:

When analysing monthly charts , what should the Trix period be?

The default is 12.. should I retain this or should I increase/decrease value.

Thanks

HI Bruce,

Request your help.

Is there a PCF that measures the the distance (values) between a TRIX 12 and a Moving Average 9, like we have between a MA 21 and a MA 50 for example. It will be great if you could help with this PCF?

Thank you.
