I am trying to create a formula for price within 1% of the 8 exponential moving average.  The system keeps saying I have an error and a ( is expected at position 7.  This doesn't make sense to me.  Can you tell me where I've gone wrong?  

C<(XAVG8*1.01) and C>(XAVG8*.99)

XAVG8 needs to be either XAVGC8 or XAVG(C, 8) to work. Please try the following.

ABS(C / XAVGC8 - 1) <= .01
