Does short interest data get updated anymore?

No, short interest is not getting update. We sent an email about it back in September, but the fields have not yet been removed from the program.
Dear TC2000 Customer:
Morningstar has informed us that NYSE and Nasdaq, the providers of short interest, are changing their license agreements for this data. As a result, the following Morningstar fields will be removed from TC2000 effective October 1, 2017:
Short Interest
Short Interest Ratio (days to cover)
Short Percentage of Float
NYSE and Nasdaq are now charging fees for short interest which would require an add-on subscription. If you wish to continue receiving this data, please email us at support@TC2000.com or call 1-800-776-4940 to help us gauge the level of interest for this information. We will follow up next week.

What do I need to do if I want the feed?

They are tracking the response to see if it makes any sense to add these as part of a paid feed. If you already sent an email, then you have already provided the appropriate feedback.
