Hello,
I need a PCF for:
50 day SMA crossed above 200 SMA today but yesterday the 50 day SMA was below the 200 day SMA. I tried the PCF below but it does not work. I ran it on common stocks today and it gave me 11 stocks. None of the stocks had their 50 day SMA cross above their 200 day SMA today. These 11 stocks either had their 50 Day SMA already cross above their 200 day SMA several days ago, or it has yet to do so. So the PCF does not work.
Can you help me create one that does work?
AVGC50 > AVGC200 AND AVGC50.1 < AVGC200.1

That PCF is correct and worked for me.
Maybe something else was wrong?
Like your MAV plots or chart timeframe?
Thanks

Thanks diceman. What do you mean by MAV plots? Also what chart time frame did you use? Thanks!

Daily.
Mavs not plotted on price scale or not plots of the close or not simple averages.
I used %True PCF with visual test.
For example trigger on symbol COL on 12-15-16.
Thanks

The suggestions by diceman are correct, the issue is most likely that the chart is not the same time frame as the formula, the moving averages on the chart aren't both simple or one or both of the moving averages are of something besides price (such as another moving average).
If that it is the case, you would need to either match the formula to the chart or the chart to the formula (depending on which you wanted to keep).
The simplest way to match the condition to the chart would be to click on the indicators on the chart and select Create Scan Condition to create the condition instead of using a formula.
If you definitely want to check for the simple 50 period moving average crossing up through the 200 period simple moving average however, you would need to change the chart instead.
The simplest way to do that would be to remove both moving averages from the chart and then re-add them. Make sure you select Price History when prompted as to the parent to which you wish to add the moving averages when prompted.
