Thanks diceman.  What do you mean by MAV plots?  Also what chart time frame did you use? Thanks!

Hello,

I need a PCF for:

50 day SMA crossed above 200 SMA today but yesterday the 50 day SMA was below the 200 day SMA. I tried the PCF below but it does not work.  I ran it on common stocks today and it gave me 11 stocks. None of the stocks had their 50 day SMA cross above their 200 day SMA today.  These 11 stocks either had their 50 Day SMA already cross above their 200 day SMA several days ago, or it has yet to do so. So the PCF does not work.

Can you help me create one that does work?

AVGC50 > AVGC200 AND AVGC50.1 < AVGC200.1

I would like to combine the below PCFs so that when put into an easy scan it will find stocks that meet either condition, but the stocks do not have to meet both conditions.  I tried simply joining them with OR but it did not work.  Thank you!

MAXH5.1 / MINL5.1 <= 1.05 AND (MAXH5.1 <= C5.1 * 1.05 AND MINL5.1 >= C5.1 * .90)

C > AVGC50 AND C > AVGC200

Hi Bruce,

I wanted to make some slight changes to these definitions.  How would the PCFs change?

Price % Change Yesterday Between 0% to -1.5% (not only did the price yesterday close unchanged or down no more than 1.5% vs the previous day, but the price range yesterday was unchanged or down no more than 1.5% during the trading day)

Price % change Yesterday between 0% to -1% (not only did the price yesterday close unchanged or down no more than 1% vs the previous day, but the price range yesterday was unchanged or down no more than 1% during the trading day)

Price % change Yesterday between 1% to -1% (not only did the price yesterday close up no more than 1% or down no more than 1% vs the previous day, but the price range yesterday was up no more than 1% or down no more than 1% during the trading day)

Thanks Bruce.  So does 100 * (C1 - C2) / C2 <= 2 mean that yesterday the stock was up less than or equal to 2% vs the previous day but there is no limit on how much it could have been down vs the previous day?

Do these pcfs mean the same thing?

100 * (C1 - C2) / C2 <= 2

.98 * C2 <= C1 AND C1 <= 1.02 * C2
