Bruce,

Is there a way to compare the difference in returns between symbols?  I want to be able to graphically see the spread between 52 wk return of components and their index/comparing symbol; I do not just want the returns of each historically on the same graph.

The chart equation I want is c/c52 of symbol #1 minus c/c52 of symbol #2.

About the closest you are going to be able to get to that is to add the plain Relative Strength (RS) indicator (not the Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicator).

The plain Relative Strength indicator is the ratio of the active symbol to the relative strength symbol.

You can add a 52 period Rate of Change Percent (ROC%) indicator to the RS indicator to get a change in this ratio expressed as a percentage over time.

You can add another symbol to the chart and then change the data source of of the RS to use the other symbol instead of the main plot of the price history if you want to change the active symbol being used in the RS indicator.
